Kati Becker spielt gerne online Rollenspiele und hat eine Vorliebe für Cyberpunk. In ihrem künstlerischen Werk zum Projekt Avatar als Prothese hat sie entschieden, sich zu ihr eigenes Avatar zu machen. Dies ist eine Herausforderung und ein wichtiges Statement, weil die meisten online Avatars nicht Rollstuhlfahrer sind, und einen Körper haben, der sich deutlich von ihre unterscheidet. Die spektakuläre Fotos sind in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Berliner Fotograf, Philipp Plum, entstanden.

Kati Becker likes to play online role-play games and has a particular fascination with cyberpunk. In her artistic work within the project, Avatar as Prothesis, she decided to become her own, real life avatar. This endeavour is both a challenge and an important statement; the majority of online avatars are not wheelchair users, and their bodies differ markedly from her own. The spectacular photos are the result of a collaboration with the Berlin-based photographer, Philipp Plum.
